Petrolesport enters Severstaltrans GC
Severstaltrans GC has finalized the deal on acquisition of Petrolesport OJSC (PLP, Saint Petersburg), press release of Severstaltrans GC reads. “We consider Petrolesport to be a company with deep growth potential mostly in the sphere of container transportation,” Nikita Mishin, member of the Board of Directors of Severstaltrans GC, says. “We never left container business and termination of business relation with First Quantum was actually a division of assets. Acquisition of Petrolesport conforms to our plans on expansion of Severstaltrans container business,” he added.
As of today Severstaltrans plans implementation of an investment program aimed at increase of container handling to 1.5-2 million TEU per year. “We consider different measures on development of the terminal’s infrastructure,” Eduard Chovuhsyan, new Director General of Petrolesport says. Severstaltrans currently works on implementation of an investment program aimed at development of specialized container terminals in the Far East of Russia – ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny.
Extra meeting of Petrolesport shareholders has approved new membership of the Board of Directors, which now includes representatives of Severstaltrans GC (К.Y.Nikolayev, N.А.Mishin, А.G.Ignatenko, D.V.Trofimov, С.V.Shurenkov, И.V.Mast, О.Y.Saprykin).
