Seacor Marine receives delivery of its newest vessel
Seacor Marine announced yesterday that it had received delivery of its newest vessel, the impressive fast support vessel JOHN G. MCCALL
Built by Gulf Craft Shipyard in Patterson, Louisiana, the 190-ft. JOHN G. MCCALL is the first DP-2 Fast Support / Crew Vessel in the world and boasts 9,000 horsepower from five Cummins KTA 50-M2s.
SEACOR Marine's say their Fast Support Vessels (FSV) of today are far more than standard "crew boats." These Fast Support / Crew Vessels, ranging in length from 145-ft. to 190-ft., are equipped with up to 9,000 BHP (brake horsepower) and can reach speeds over 32 knots. Other features such as ride control, the ability to carry products necessary for drilling and production, as well as, dynamic positioning clearly set these vessels apart from the "crew boats" of yesterday. say the company.
SEACOR Marine operates one of the world's largest fleets of offshore marine support vessels, serving the global offshore oil and gas exploration and production industry. The company deploys vessels in the Gulf of Mexico, Latin America, the North Sea, the Mediterranean, West Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East
