GAL adds two vessels to South Africa-Mexico/US service
Galborg has announced that two additional vessels will enter its service between Southern African and Mexico/US.
Galborg’s partners have responded to the call for additional tonnage and more sailings in this fast-growing service by purchasing the MV Yellowstone and MV Aalborg to contribute to the service.
“This equates to an investment into the service close to US$30 million,” said David Groves, owner's representative for Galborg, adding that the move demonstrates Galborg’s further commitment to the development of trade between North America and the Southern tip of Africa.
Galborg has grown steadily to become the leading multipurpose line on the route. Sailings are approximately every twenty days ex Cape Town, Maputo, Richards Bay and Durban for Mexico, Houston, New Orleans and Jacksonville, with a combination of containers, breakbulk, bulk and project cargo.
