Cargo turnover of Finland sea ports grew over 8 months of 2006 by 15.5 % to 4.1 million tons
Total cargo turnover of Finland sea ports grew over 8 months of 2006 by 15.5 % to 4 111.267 thou tons. According to the Association of Finnish Ports, import of seaports grew by 3% to 1 663. 344 thou tons, export – by 26% to 2 445.799 thou tons. Cargo turnover of Hamina port over 8 months of 2006 amounted to 715.403 thou tons (-24.6% against year-on-year result). Hanko port– 480.056 thou tons (+72.8%), Helsinki – 130.162 thou tons (-74.3%), Kemi – 57 thou tons (+256.3%), Kokkola - 1 468.626 thou tons (+159.1%), Kotka - 1 250.402 thou tons (+3.2%), Laaperanta – 2.124 thou tons, Turku – 64.435 thou tons (+40.1%).
