Loading of Far Eastern Railway totals 3.9 million tons in Feb. 07, y-o-y
In February 2007, average daily loading of Far Eastern Railway totaled 140.2 thou tons (in February 06 – 134.8 thou tons), FERW PR service reports. Total February loading amounted to 3.925 million tons (101.6% against plan). The majority of cargo volume falls on coal – 1.5 million tons, timber - 759 thou tons and oil products - 792 thou tons. Loading of fish amounted to 31.5 thou tons (113% against plan), cement – 54.2 thou tons (138% against plan). Average daily unloading totaled 4071 wagons (99.5% against plan). The result should be attributed to fierce storm in the middle of the month, which stopped operation of the seaports for two days. However, average daily unloading was 203 wagons higher in February compared to that of January.
