Norwegian chemcarrier leaks fuel oil in Elbe
Norwegian Anders Utkilen chemical tanker Fostraum, 2,900 DWT and built 1991, leaked fuel oil into the River Elbe at Butzfleth yesterday, and a number and oil prevention units were mobilised to contain the oil and prevent it from reaching the sea. During the accident all traffic on the Elbe was stopped. The vessel is covered with Gard and classed with DNV.
