SSY Futures arranges the first trade in SGX’s new gas-powered LNG freight futures contract
SSY Futures Ltd has arranged the first trade in SGX's new BLNG2g Futures contract, according to the company's release. The trade was for settlement basis July and August 2021 against indices published by The Baltic Exchange which value the cost of transporting LNG from the US Gulf to Europe in a gas-powered bulk carrier.
The trade will mitigate the risk on the transportation of LNG from the United States to Europe and is a cash settled contract. The contract is listed and cleared by SGX, The Singapore Exchange.
