STX Shipbuilding upgrades annual order target
South Korea's STX Shipbuilding Co. said Thursday that it has revised upward its target for orders this year as high-flying oil prices are boosting demand for crude carriers.
The annual order target has been raised to 73 ships worth US$3.6 billion, up from an earlier 54 vessels worth $2.6 billion, STX Shipbuilding, the world's seventh-largest shipyard, said.
