EBRD’ allocated $20 million for further development of Black Sea Shipping Company (Ukraine)
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development allocated $20 million for further development of Odessa company Black Sea Shipping Company (BSSC). This information has been provided by rynok.biz. The funds have been provided within the framework of the program for the company’s fleet renewal to a general amount of $34 million. The resources received by Odessa company to be spent for financing of five new medium-tonnage bulk-carriers. The vessels will be built by Kherson shipyard. This tranche is part of EBRD’s program supporting Ukrainian shipbuilding industry – key branch of the country’s transport sector. The project has confirmed EBRD’s position as the state’s leading creditor in shipbuilding, Richardo Puliti – Director of EBRD’s Transport Division.
