Igor Belousov, rescue vessel of RF Navy's Pacific Fleet, concluded its visit to Vietnam
The Pacific Fleet rescue vessel Igor Belousov has completely fulfilled its business program in the Vietnamese port of Cam Ranh and completed a seven-day visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Before that, in the military port of Cam Ranh, the first joint Russian-Vietnamese exercise on the delivery of assistance to a disabled submarine was completed. In the exercise the Russian side was represented by the rescue vessel Igor Belousov with the Bester 1 deep-towed vehicle AS-40 on board. The military sailors of the two countries tested the compatibility of Russian rescue equipment and the submarine of the Vietnamese Navy, exchanged their experience in conducting rescue operations, and improved the system of assistance to crew which left a disabled submarine lying on the ground.
The return of the Pacific Fleet rescue vessel Igor Belousov in Vladivostok is planned for December 20.
