NIBULON increases capacities of its Voznesenska Branch transshipment terminal
As part of the implementation of the company’s investment project to increase capacities at its facilities, NIBULON constructs additional silos with galleries, transport lines and auxiliary facilities at the Voznesenska branch transshipment terminal for grain and oilseeds receipt, storage, and shipment, NIBULON says in a press release.
In accordance with the project, NIBULON plans to construct 3 silos of 7.3 thousand tons each (about 22 thousand tons), a loading overpass with chain conveyers, an underground unloading transport gallery with belt conveyers, an aspiration system with airways and dust cleaning equipment, storm drain systems as part of storm-water inlets and sewerage systems.
The annual grain transshipment capacity will comprise 64.5 thousand tons at NIBULON’s additional silos. The new silos together with the existed technological complex will create a single automated system of grain and oilseeds receipt, processing, and shipment on water and motor transport. Once they are put into operation, the total storage capacity at the branch will comprise about 98 thousand tons; the annual transshipment will be increased up to 300 thousand tons.
At present, the specialists from Perspectyva Construction Company Ltd and Bastion Construction Company Ltd are completing to arrange pile fields for the main facilities at the Voznesenska branch construction site. At present, they have already driven piles for two out of three silos.
The specialists from Astarta Mlynelevatorbud Ltd have constructed foundations for the upper loading transitional galleries and started to assemble foundations for silos. They have already constructed an underground gallery, where contractors will start assembling conveying equipment.
METTRANSSERVICE Ltd will soon start mounting the metalwork of the first silos and transitional galleries.
Specialists from Meta PE are laying water supply systems and sewerage systems.
NIBULON’s transshipment terminal in Voznesensk region, constructed and put into operation in summer 2016, has received one million tons of agricultural commodities in 2019. Since it has started to operate, the company transported more than 1.2 million tons of cargoes by the Southern Buh River from Voznesenska branch to Mykolaiv sea transshipment terminal. Thus, NIBULON removed about 50 thousand trucks from highways. By constructing additional silos on the facility’s territory, the company will increase these indices in future.
The project to increase production capacities also includes the construction of additional silos at Novoodeska branch (10 thousand tons), Kamianka-Dniprovska branch (16 thousand tons), Khortytsia branch (16.5 thousand tons), and Holoprystanska branch (20 thousand tons).
NIBULON has increased production capacities at its facilities earlier. In 2017, the company constructed additional silos of 12.36 thousand tons at Svativska branch (Luhansk region). The company increased its storage capacity by 16 thousand tons at Kozatska branch. In August 2018, NIBULON put into operation a new 43,000-ton elevator complex at its main transshipment terminal in Mykolaiv, thereby increasing its total grain storage capacity up to 173 thousand tons. In September 2019, the company constructed additional facilities at Kremenchutska branch (Poltava region), and namely three silos of 20 thousand tons.
Increasing its agricultural commodity storage capacity at Voznesenska branch, at the same time the company is constructing a new complex of grain and oilseeds receipt, storage, and shipment on railway transport in Khmilnyk (Vinnytsia region). Today, NIBULON’s total grain storage comprises 2.1 million tons.
