North-Western Shipping Company participated in NEVA 2019
On September 17-20, North-Western Shipping Company PJSC was taking part in the NEVA 2019, the International Maritime Exhibition and Conference of Russia that was held in EXPOFORUM Convention & Exhibition Centre (Saint-Petersburg). NWSC says it has been a regular participant of the exhibition from the year of its foundation. This year, the company has taken part in the NEVA for the 15th time.
The NEVA is among the world’s TOP-5 industry-focused exhibitions. It gathered the leading shipbuilding and shipping companies, classification societies, supplies of shipboard equipment, maritime educational institutions, designing organizations, branch associations, ad hoc bodies of Russia’s Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Industry and Trade. The display area of over 26,000 square meters accommodated more than 600 exhibitors. The number of visitors exceeded 20,000.
From 2003, North-Western Shipping Company has been taking part in the event together with Volga Shipping Company. The exposition offered by the companies at NEVA-2019 demonstrated their services on transportation of a variety of cargoes and attracted a wide array of Russian and foreign specialists, both exhibitors and visitors of the exhibition.
North-Western Shipping Company PJSC, is the largest carrier in the Russian system of waterways, specializing in export/import shipping of bulk, general and project cargoes, towage of oversized cargo and crafts. The company operates a fleet of 47 river-sea vessels, 10 sea going vessels and 3 river-sea Ro-Ro barges. Total deadweight of the Company's fleet is 288,000 tonnes. About 60% of the fleet was built between 2002 and 2013. Average age of the company’s fleet is 18.5 y.o. The company transports about 5 million tonnes of cargo per year.
