Throughput of Russian seaports in 8M’19 grew by 2.9% to 556.29 million tonnes
In January-August 2019, Russian seaports handled 556.29 million tonnes, up 2.9% year-on-year, says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot).
In the reporting period, transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 248.0 million tonnes (-4.2%), liquid bulk cargo - 308.29 million tonnes (+9.5%).
Seaports of the Arctic basin handled 69.82 million tonnes (+19.4%) including 20.58 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+3.9%) and 49.23 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+27.4%).
Seaports of the Baltic basin handled 171.99 million tonnes (+5.8%) including 74.20 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+2.9%) and 97.79 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+8.1%).
Seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin handled 168.52 million tonnes (-7.7%) including 61.80 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-23.6%) and 106.72 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+5.0%).
Seaports of the Caspian basin handled 4.80 million tonnes (+46.7%) including 1.81 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-1.5%) and 2.99 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+108.6%).
Seaports of the Far East basin handled 141.17 million tonnes (+5.5%) including 89.61 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+6.1%) and 51.56 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+4.5%).
