Throughput of Rostov-on-Don port in 6M’19 fell by 9% Y-o-Y to 9.19 million tonnes
In January-June 2019, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 9.196 million tonnes of cargo (-9%, year-on-year), the Harbour Master’s office of the port told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period, loading totaled 6.761 million tonnes (-9%, year-on-year).
Transshipment of transit cargo fell by 5% to 2.198 million tonnes.
Thus, unloading totaled 238,000 tonnes (-13%, year-on-year).
In the reporting period, transshipment of oil products accounted for 30% of the total throughput, grain – for 29%, non-grain dry bulk cargo – for 15%, coal – for 15%.
The Harbour Master’s office says the number of calls totaled 3,073 units.
