Vodohod shipping company puts into operation upgraded cruise ship Saint-Petersburg
Vodohod shipping company has put into operation upgraded cruise ship Saint-Petersburg, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Victor Olersky, Chairman of Vodohod BoD, as saying at the presentation of the upgraded ship. The modernization works were performed in Nizhny Novgorod, the Russian Federation.
During the presentation Victor Olersky emphasized that the ship is supposed to carry both foreign and Russian tourists.
“Today, Vodohod is Russia’s largest cruise company in terms of fleet. I hope we will also retain our leadership in terms of service quality”, said Victor Olersky.
According to Vodohod, the demand for tours is high with those for navigation 2019 having been almost sold out.
M/V Saint-Petersburg leaves for the first voyage with passengers on May 31.
M/V Saint-Petersburg is fitted with modern navigation equipment. Its speed is up to 26 km/h, length - 125 meters, width – 16.7 meters, draft – 2.8 meters, passenger places - 210.
Vodohod shipping company is a large Russian operator of river cruises and a full cycle tour operator. The company arranges river cruises around Russia. It operates the fleet of 27 comfortable four-deck cruise ships of projects 301, 302, 92-016.
