Investments of Taganrog Sea Commercial Port in development totaled USD 154,000 in Q1’2019
In the first quarter of 2019, Taganrog Sea Commercial Port JSC (TagSCP, a company of UCL Holding) invested USD 154,000 into the programme on the development of its port infrastructure, the company says in a press release.
As a part of its technical upgrading, TagSCP invested in renewal and expansion of its fleet of handling equipment. In particular, the company acquired two diesel forklift trucks, HYUNDAI 20DA-7E and HYUNDAI 40D-9F, with capacity of 2 and 5 tonnes respectively. The new equipment is intended for reloading of packaged cargo and big-bags as well as for decontainerization. Besides, having installed an upgraded drive axel, the company improved technical characteristics of the KALMAR loader.
The fleet of TagSCP production equipment expanded with a 6-cbm grab following coal transshipment by portal cranes as well as with an ELITECH vibrating tamping plate needed for compaction of different materials when repaving the berths and platforms in the port.
Investment programme of TagSCP also comprises a set of measures on enhancement of environmental safety. Under this programme, the port performed works on designing of storm flow treatment system and embarked on construction of treatment facilities. Moreover, the company installed a special reservoir for collection of oil products by a volunteer emergency response team to prevent their possible entry into a water body in case of oil spills.
