Construction of deep-water port in Kamchatka estimated at RUB 60 billion
The project on construction of a deep-water port in Kamchatka is estimated at RUB 60 billion, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Nikolay Pegin, head of the Kamchatka Territory Development Corporation, as saying at the plenary session of TransRussia-2019 kicked off in Moscow on April 15.
The port is to be built in the nearest years with the assistance of Kamchatka investors. The key purpose of the project is to launch a container line through the Northern Sea Route linking Kamchatka, the Baltic port of Primorsk and Rostock (Germany).
