2nd DGs: New Transportation Requirements Conference to focus on dangerous goods multimodal transport regulations
Regulation in the field of multimodal transportation of dangerous goods (DG) and the issue of granting DG containers safety certificates will be addressed at the 2nd Dangerous Goods: New Transportation Requirements Conference slated to be held March 12, 2019 in Moscow. The event venue: the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s hall.
The conference is organized by the IAA PortNews Media Group. The event General Sponsor is Maritime Cargo Bureau, a specialist in maritime safety in Russia.
The conference speakers that have confirmed participation will cover some specifics of the IMO IMDG Code application in Russia, the ADR contracts, the new IMO regulations on coal transport (IMSBC), as well as new requirements of amended IMSBC Code.
Strict compliance with international and Russian regulation of the DG transportation, including explosives, is a fundamental factor in the trouble-free operation of both maritime and related modes of transport. The Russian Federation successfully exercise control over DGs safe transportation, which meets the main provisions of international agreements in this field.
The conference participates will discuss some aspects of this system application in multimodal transportation of export and import dangerous goods, control and supervision of cargo operations with DGs, as well as the existing practice of DG transport.
