GTT bags yet another tank design order for LNGC duo
GTT has received an order from a Korean shipyard concerning the tank design of two new 174,000 m3 LNG carriers, on behalf of an Asian ship-owner. The delivery of the ships is respectively planned during the first and second semester of 2021, the Company said in a press release.
GTT’s membrane containment system Mark III Flex has been selected for the design of the tanks.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared: “We are pleased to receive this new notification, which brings up to 50 the number of vessels ordered this year, including 48 LNG carriers and 2 FSRUs[1].”
The ship-owner’s and shipyard's names are confidential.
