Training Center of Marine Recruiting Agency trained 815 specialists in H1’18
Training Center of OOO Marine Recruiting Agency (MRA, a company of UCL Holding) says it trained 815 port, road-building and warehouse workers under the programmes of basic and additional professional training in the first half of 2018.
Under the programmes of basic professional training, 332 persons completed professional development and retraining courses to obtain related skills. The most popular were road-building jobs selected by almost 32% of retrainees as well as “operator of articulating crane” and “operator of portal crane” courses selected by 30% of retrainees.
259 students obtained new jobs including “slingsman” (40%), “dock engineer” (26%) and “mooring man” (19%) with “talyman”,
“crane operator” and “roadbuilder” accounting for the remaining 15%.
148 persons were trained under the programmes of additional professional training with almost half of them having selected “safe methods and techniques of working at height”.
MRA Training Center has been traditionally offering its help to the students of Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, Sea Technical Colledge and Saint-Petersburg Sea Fishing College willing to obtain port professions. For that purpose, MRA has tailored a programme taking into consideration the students’ basic knowledge. From the beginning of this year this practice has allowed 76 students be trained as tallymen.
OOO Marine Recruiting Agency is a recruiting company representing interests of transport logistic, construction and other companies of North-Western region in sphere of recruiting, training and provision of temporary personnel. MRA was established in 2001 and is a subsidiary AO Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg. From 2016 the company is accredited by Federal Service on Labour and Employment for performing the activities related to provision of personnel.
The Agency has its own Training Centre with its own technical infrastructure. Its functions are primary training, re-qualification and advanced training on the basis of various educational programmes.
