Vyacheslav Ruksha appointed as Deputy Director General of Rosatom, Director of NSR Directorate
Vyacheslav Ruksha, Ex-Director General of FSUE Atomflot, has been appointed as Deputy Director General of Rosatom, Director of Rosatom’s Directorate of the Northern Sea Route from 24 July 2018, says PR Department of Rosatom.
NSR Directorate established as part of the State Atomic Energy Corporation “Rosatom” and headed by Vyacheslav Ruksha will be responsible for the following functions: implementation of the state policy and the strategy for the development of the NSR; interaction with the regions and with the authorities; management of development projects (including infrastructure development); goal-setting and control of companies’ key performance indicators; implementations of state functions and services. The Directorate will also manage the fleet of nuclear-powered icebreakers (FUSE Atomflot) and maintain the existing infrastructure.
Mustafa Kashka, First Deputy Director General - Chief Engineer of FSUE Atomflot is appointed Acting Director General of FSUE Atomflot from 24 July 2018.
Vyacheslav Ruksha was born on 17 February 1954. In 1976, he graduated from the Admiral Makarov Higher Naval Engineering School awarded with the Order of the October Revolution (Leningrad). Among his positions were the Advisor to the President of Russian Railways, Head of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency), First Deputy to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Director General of OAO Murmansk Shipping Company.
Vyacheslav Ruksha was the Director General of FSUE Atomflot from the moment it was established in 2008 till the moment it joined Rosatom.
