Szczecin to become the capital of Baltic seaports in September
Having hosted the World Maritime Day Parallel Event held in June this year, Szczecin is getting ready for yet another important maritime event. On 5th – 7th September, it will host representatives of Baltic seaports during the International Baltic Ports Conference.
The appointment of Szczecin as a venue for the conference on BSR seaports is the proof of the growing economic position of the Szczecin-Świnoujście Ports Complex. It is worth highlighting that in Autumn 2018, the conference is going to be the most important maritime sector event in the region.
The Baltic Ports Conference is the most important annual event held by the Baltic Ports Organization. Attendees of the conference will discuss key issues of the port business. Every year, the conference covers the latest challenges for the Baltic Sea Region. It is also an excellent communication platform, since, apart from BPO member ports, it attracts representatives of the European Commission, non-profit organizations and companies. The careful selection of speakers ensures the high profile of the event, and professional presentations enable BSR experts and conference participants to be involved in a valuable exchange of experience regarding ports, shipping and the environment.
