Throughput of Russian seaports in 6M’18 grew by 2.8% Y-o-Y to 394.8 million tonnes (detalization)
In January-June 2018, seaports of Russia handled 394.8 million tonnes of cargo (up 2.8%, year-on-year), says press center of the Association of Commercial Sea Ports.
Transshipment of dry cargo totaled 188.8 million tonnes (+8.5%) including 78.3 million tonnes of coal (+4.1%), 26.6 million tonnes of containerized cargo (+12.8%), 25.2 million tonnes of grain (up 1.6 times), 15.6 million tonnes of ferrous metal (+5.8%), 9.2 million tonnes of mineral fertilizers (+7.0%), 7.1 million tonnes of cargo carried by ferries (-23.8%), 3.5 million tonnes of ore (+7.1%) and 2.6 million tonnes of timber (+3.1%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo totaled 206.0 million tonnes (-2.0%) including 120.4 million tonnes of crude oil (-6.6%), 72.4 million tonnes of oil products (+0.9%) and 10.5 million tonnes of liquefied gas (+45.7%).
Exports totaled 305.4 million tonnes (+2.3%), imports - 18.4 million tonnes (+5.0%), transit - 31.8 million tonnes (+10.3%), coastal trade cargo – 39.2 million tonnes (+0.0%).
Operators of seaports in the Arctic Basin handled 38.3 million tonnes (+7.2%, year-on-year) including 24.2 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+9.2%) and 14.1 million tonnes of dry cargo (+3.8%). Exports accounted for 65.2%, imports – for 0.5%, coastal trade cargo – 34.3%. No transit cargo was handled in the Arctic Basin. The port of Murmansk handled 25.9 million tonnes (+1.4%), Arkhangelsk - 1.4 million tonnes (+23.0%), Kandalaksha - 1.0 million tonnes (up 1.6 times).
Operators of seaports in the Baltic Basin handled122.6 million tonnes (-1.6%) including 68.5 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-8.3%) and 54.1 million tonnes of dry cargo (+8.4%). Exports accounted for 89.3%, imports - 8.3%, coastal trade cargo and transit cargo – for 1.6% and 0.8% accordingly. The port of Ust-Luga handled 49.1 million tonnes (-3.6%), Primorsk - 26.8 million tonnes (-14.6%), Vysotsk - 9.0 million tonnes (-1.3%), Big Port St. Petersburg - 29.7 million tonnes (+14.2%), Kaliningrad - 7.2 million tonnes (+9.2%), Vyborg - 0.8 million tonnes (+28.5%).
Operators of seaports in the Azov-Black Sea Basin handled 133.3 million tonnes (+5.8%) including 58.1 million tonnes of dry cargo (+14.0%) and 75.2 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+0.2%). Exports accounted for 63.5%, imports – for 3.0%, transit – for 22.1%, coastal trade cargo – for 11.4%. The port of Novorossiysk handled 78.0 million tonnes (+7.0%), Rostov-on-Don - 7.8 million tonnes (+27.3%), Azov - 4.7 million tonnes (up 1.6 times), Temryuk - 1.7 million tonnes (+28.9%), Taganrog - 1.5 million tonnes (+23.5%), Tuapse - 13.3 million tonnes (-1.4%), Kavkaz – to 13.1 million tonnes (-3.1%), Taman – to 6.1 million tonnes (-18.7%), Kerch - 4.0 million tonnes (-6.3%).
Operators of seaports in the Caspian Basin handled 2.4 million tonnes (+39.1%) including 1.4 million tonnes of dry cargo (+10.4%) and 1.0 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (up 2.1 times). Exports accounted for 50.7%, imports – for 4.3%, transit – for 41.3%, coastal trade cargo – for 3.7%. The port of Makhachkala handled 1.3 million tonnes (up 2.3 times), Olya – 179,000 tonnes (up 2.1 times), Astrakhan - 1.0 million tonnes (-12.1%).
Operators of seaports in the Far East Basin handled 98.2 million tonnes (+2.3%) including 61.1 million tonnes of dry cargo (+5.0%) and 37.0 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-1.7%). Exports accounted for 87.2%, imports – for 3.5%, transit – for 0.4%, coastal trade cargo - 8.9%. The port of Vladivostok handled 10.0 million tonnes (+23.6%), Prigorodnoye - 9.2 million tonnes (+6.6%), Shakhtersk - 2.9 million tonnes (+32.3%), Korsakov - 0.8 million tonnes (+4.6%), Vostochny - . 34.6 million tonnes (-0.8%), Vanino - 14.8 million tonnes (-1.6%), Nakhodka - 12.2 million tonnes (-1.0%), De-Kastri - 5.8 million tonnes (-6.2%), Posiet - 3.7 million tonnes (-8.7%).
Association of Commercial Sea Ports (ASOP) set up in 1987 unites over 50 organizations and enterprises of Russia’s maritime transport. ASOP comprises commercial seaports, forwarding and agency companies, scientific research institutes and marine educational institutions.
