Throughput of port Tallinn (Estonia) up 1.4% to 10.09 million tonnes in HI’18
In January-June 2018, the Port of Tallinn (Estonia) handled 10.09 million tonnes of cargo (+1.4%, year-on-year). According to the Port Authorities, transshipment of containers climbed by 6.4% to 108,920 TEUs.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo climbed by 1% to 4.28 million tonnes, Ro-Ro – by 8.9% to 2.73 million tonnes while transshipment of dry bulk cargo fell by 6.2% to 1.78 million tonnes.
In the reporting period, passenger turnover climbed by 0.2% to 4.82 million passengers.
Tha number of calls declined by 1.5% to 3,676 units.
The Port of Tallinn comprises five so-called port zones: Muuga, Old City Harbor, Paljassaare, Paldiski South and Saaremaa. In 2017 the port handled 19.18 million tonnes of cargo.
