Throughput of port Primorsk in 6M’18 down 15% Y-o-Y to 26.76 million tonnes
In January-June 2018, the port of Primorsk handled 26,762,700 tonnes of cargo, which is 15% down, year-on-year. According to the port authority, crude oil transshipment fell by 20% to 19,026,400 tonnes.
In the reporting period, transshipment of oil products grew by 4%, year-on-year, to 7,736,300 tonnes.
In 2017, the port handled 57.60 million tonnes, down 11% Y-o-Y.
Port Primorsk is Russia’s largest oil port in the Baltic Sea. It is the final stage of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS). The port is located in the Leningrad Region, on the eastern coast of the Bjyerkezund Strait (Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea).
