Safety and innovation on the agenda for Danish Maritime Days
Danish Shipping once again opens their doors to Danish Maritime Days, where safety and innovation are some of the topics of events taking place all over Copenhagen.
The Danish Maritime Cluster gathers during the first days of May when the industry celebrates Danish Maritime Days. Debates will focus on everything from new ocean economies to security in Gulf of Guinea.
The kick-off event and reception will take place on 1 May at Danish Shipping in cooperation with the Danish Maritime Authority and Danish Maritime, who are the driving forces behind the Danish Maritime Days this year. At the kick-off event COO of Maersk Line Søren Toft will be the keynote speaker, and there will also be a brief presentation of the week’s events.
Danish Shipping looks forward to welcoming the entire maritime industry.
“The Danish Maritime Days is an obvious opportunity to gather the maritime sector and to debate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Therefore, we are pleased to be able to open the doors for the opening of the week,” says Anne H. Steffensen, CEO of Danish Shipping.
Danish Maritime Days is an open platform across the maritime industry, where everyone can establish events organised at various locations. During Danish Maritime Days, companies, manufacturers, politicians, investment advisors and other stakeholders will meet at formal and informal events.
Danish Shipping organises several different events in cooperation with members. The event on security in the Gulf of Guinea takes places at the Clipper Group offices in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, Danish Shipping will present several events at Danish Shipping.
The Train Workshop is once again the venue for Danish Maritime Fair, where a large number of exhibitors present the latest technology. Danish Shipping organises the Shipping Lounge, where The Maritime Cluster meet to network. The Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, Brian Mikkelsen participates at a reception on Thursday 3 May. The new conference on ocean economy ‘Opening Oceans’, which Norwegian Nor-Shipping organises, will also take place at The Train Workshop on the 2 and 3 May.
“Shipping Lounge is now a tradition where shipowners and exhibitors have the opportunity to share experience and network. This year, they will also get the opportunity to learn more the many business opportunities in the oceans,” says Anne H. Steffensen.
