6th Forum of Intermodal Transport FRACHT 2018 held in Gdańsk on 11-12 April
Dariusz Słaboszewski, CEO of ZMPSiŚ SA, participated in the 6th Forum of Intermodal Transport FRACHT 2018 held in Gdańsk on 11-12 April this year, says press center of port Szczecin-Świnoujście.
CEO Słaboszewski was a member of a discussion panel on ‘The current status and prospects for the development of the intermodal transport market in Poland’. Additionally, during the official gala concluding the first day of the Forum, D. Słaboszewski handed over statuettes of ‘The Leader of Intermodal Transport’.
The two-day forum attracted 200 attendees from the TSL sector. The agenda included six discussion panels which focused on such issues as the development of intermodal transport in Poland, including the influence of ports and state administration on the development of this particular mode of transport and the building of new railways connecting Europe and Asia.
The organiser of the Forum FRACHT 2018 was Kurier Kolejowy Sp. z o.o.
In the meantime, on 12th April, in Szczecin, a conference on ‘Seaports 2018’ was held, with the Seaports Authority supporting its organisation. Discussions and interventions included topics related to such topics as water tourism and project cargo and offshore structure handling in seaports. The conference also discussed automation and digitization of port processes. This time the conference was co-organised by the Institute of Transport Management, the Maritime University of Szczecin.
