Maxim Sokolov to lay a foundation capsule at the construction site of port Lavna on March 30
On 30 March 2018, during the working trip to the Murmansk Region, RF Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov will lay a foundation capsule at the construction site of port Lavna, says press center of the Murmansk Region Government.
A meeting dedicated to implementation of the projects on construction of “Lavna” coal transshipment facility and on comprehensive development of Murmansk Transport Hub will be held afterwards at the premises of the regional government.
The programme of the Minister’s working trip also includes the visit to the facilities of Murmansk Transport Hub (Tuloma bridge).
Public hearing held on 20 March 2018 ended with the approval of the Lavna project documentation.
Coal transshipment facility Lavna is located in the Murmansk Region (Mezzhdurechye settlement in the Kola Bay). Its deepwater ice-free water area protected from waves is able to accommodate dry bulk vessels of more than 150,000 DWT.
