Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 11% to 9.01 million tonnes in 2M’18
In January-February 2018, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 9.01 million tonnes of cargo (+11%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 9% to 1.34 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 5% to 1.35 million tonnes, general cargo – up 17% to 2.16 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 66% to 187,200 tonnes.
The port’s container throughput increased by 10.9% to 323,531 TEUs.
In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
