Port of Singapore throughput in 2M’18 grew by 3.2% Y-o-Y to 102.06 million tonnes
Freight traffic at the Port of Singapore in January-February 2018, increased by 3.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2016 to 102.06 million tonnes, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore provisional figures show.
Two-month volume of oil products was down 7.2% to 37.55 million tonnes and non-oil bulk cargo volume decreased by 4.2% to 2.79 million tonnes.
Container traffic grew by 18.2% to 5.81 million TEUs.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in Southeast Asia. In 2016, container traffic at the Port of Singapore reached 30.9 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 626.17 million tonnes.
