Research ship Admiral Vladimirsky, Baltic Fleet, makes its first call at Mauritius
On March 11, the Baltic Fleet’s oceanographic research vessel Admiral Vladimirsky has made its first call at the Port Louis (Mauritius), says press center of RF Defence Ministry. The unofficial visit takes place as part of the long cruise within the 2nd international expedition in the Indian Ocean under the auspices of the UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission.
The visit will last till March 18. The crew will replenish food and water supplies, take bus tours and excursions round the port’s sights.
Today, the representatives of the ship’s command will be officially received by the authorities of Mauritius.
After the unofficial call, the research ship Admiral Vladimirsky will continue its expedition in the Indian Ocean.
