Orinta Barkauskaitė started to manage “Klaipėdos Nafta” communications
On 5 March, Orinta Barkauskaitė started her duties as the head of communication of KN (AB “Klaipėda nafta”), the operator of oil products and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals.
KN says Orinta Barkauskaitė will be responsible for the company’s relations with the public and mass media, as well as for social responsibility projects.
Orinta Barkauskaitė has been working in the field of public relations since 2006. Eight years of this period she worked in the bank “Swedbank”, where she supervised corporate banking communication and individual communication projects such as preparation for the changeover to the Euro. Over the last years, Orinta Barkauskaitė occupied the position of the project director at a public relations agency “OMConsultins”, and she is responsible for the communication of a discussion festival “Būtent!”.
In 2010–2014, Orinta Barkauskaitė was a member of the Council of the Union of Lithuanian Public Relations Specialists and a co-author of the dictionary of public relations terms, the production of which was initiated by the Union of Lithuanian Public Relations Specialists.
The public relations specialist is a graduate from VU Institute of International Relations and Political Science, and she obtained the Master’s degree in communication business administration in Germany.

According to unaudited financial data, KN income of 2017 amounted to EUR 106.5 million, and the company earned a net profit of EUR 17 million. Over the last year, the company reloaded a total of 7 177 million tonnes of oil products and regasified and reloaded a total of 12 646 million MWh of natural gas at the LNG terminal. The company currently employs around 400 staff.
