Hapag-Lloyd introduces Asia – Middle East – New Asia Red Sea Service (AR1)
Hapag-Lloyd will further expand its Asia – Middle East service network by introducing a dedicated service connecting East Asia with the Red Sea, the company said in its press release.
Effective April 2018, seven vessels will be deployed in the newly established Asia Red Sea Service (AR1) with following ports of call:
Busan - Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Singapore - Port Kelang - Jeddah - Sokhna - Aqaba - Jeddah - Singapore - Ningbo - Busan
At Jeddah, the AR1 will also serve as connection between East Asia and Hapag-Lloyd’s just commenced EAS Service plying between Jeddah and the East African ports of Dar es Salaam and Mombasa.
In parallel the AR1 will also serve Hapag-Lloyd customers in other markets as a direct shuttle between the ports of Jeddah, Aqaba/Jordan and Sokhna/Egypt.
