Seaports of Ukraine handled 10.8 mln t of cargo in Jan’18 up 10.9% Y-o-Y
In January 2018, seaports of Ukraine handled 10.8 mln t of cargo, up 10.9%, year-on-year, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
Transshipment of export cargo fell by 1.1% to 7.8 mln t including 1.5 mln t of metal (+21.2%), 26,300 ТЕUs of containerized cargo (+17%) and 3.1 mln t of grain (+1.1%).
Imports surged 70% to 2.1 mln t including 0.7 mln t of coal (+112.3%), 0.7 mln t of ore (+42%), 0.08 mln t of oil (no oil transshipment in January 2016), 0.05 mln t of oil products (+16%), 26,900 ТЕUs of containerized cargo (+5%). Transshipment of construction materials fell by 35.4% to 0.08 mln t.
In January 2018, seaports of Ukraine handled 913 vessels, up 46.8% (291 vessels) as compared with the same period of 2017.
