Marine Recruiting Agency goes on with the program of RTG operators training
As part of employment promotion initiative, on November the 22nd, 2017 Marine Recruiting Agency LLC (MRA, a company of UCL Holding) completed the practical stage of training for the group of St.Petersburg citizens in the much-needed port trade “RTG (rubber-tyred gantry) operator”, says PR Department of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg. In the coming days 14 trainees will take part in the on-site training at one of the container terminals of the Greater Port of St.Petersburg.
Practical training for the potential port workers was organized at MRA’s training facility using RTG simulator, which imitates crane operations. From the cabin of the simulator trainees are shifting containers and get almost real-life impression of what crane operations really are. They master their techniques of operating cargo handling machines, get to know about technical properties of the equipment and test their own skills in various weather conditions.
As per the trainees, this stage is the most exciting and captivating. Total training course consists of three stages, including a theoretical one, and lasts for eight weeks.
All the successful graduates will get the qualification certificates of the proper form. The same trainees, by that time professional crane operators, will proceed with STS crane operation training as a part of professional development programme, including theoretical part, simulation training and on-site training at the container terminal.
In the nearest future MRA is to launch other training programmes for crane-operating personnel.
