Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo opened in Saint-Petersburg (St. Petersburg, LENEXPO EC) on 14 September 2017, says IAA PortNews correspondent.
As Ilya Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation – head of the Federal Fishery Agency, said at the opening ceremony the event numbers 1,600 participants and visitors.
The delegations represent different countries including Brasilia, Morocco, USA, etc. The event numbers 100 exhibitors from 25 regions of Russia and 11 countries.
The conference agenda includes the presentation of the strategy for the development of domestic fishery till 2030 developed by FFA and expert community in 2016.
The key event of the first day is the plenary session “Global focus on fishery in the seven seas: cooperation or competition?”.
