Passenger Port of St. Petersburg welcomed 11 cruise ships last week
From 28th of August to 03rd of September Passenger Port of St. Petersburg has received 11 cruise ships which brought 24 216 passengers. According to the port, the total berth time of the ships is 22 ship-days, total amount of passenger operations – 82 181.
Services provided to ships:
Fresh water bunkering – 2 378 m3
Garbage collection – 163 m3
Waste-waters reception – 938 m3
In the indicated period 1 helicopter has used the helipad of Passenger Port of Saint Petersburg for landing and take-off.
On September 01st “PP SPb MF” PLC representatives as a part of St. Petersburg delegation headed by St Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko paid an official visit to Hamburg (Germany). During the visit a Memorandum of Understanding Between Passenger Port of St. Petersburg “Marine Façade” PLC and Port of Hamburg was signed. On the German side, the heads of the Port Authority of Hamburg and the management company Cruise Gate Hamburg took part in the event. Among the main areas of cooperation these should be noted: parties aim at improving the attractiveness of cruise tourism, including organization of cruises during the low season, creating the most comfortable environment for sea passengers, representatives of cruise lines and tour operators, by developing ports’ infrastructure, improving the quality and increasing the quantity of available services, taking other relevant measures.
On September 1st the third season of the television series "Majeure" (the producer company "Wednesday") was shot at Passenger Port of St. Petersburg. The genre is detective, thriller, drama. The director of the third season is Igor Tverdokhlebov. Starring - Pavel Priluchny, Karina Razumovskaya, Dmitriy Shevchenko and others.
