Far East Grain Terminal LLC embarks on expansion of seaport Zarubino (photo)
Far East Grain Terminal (FEGT LLC, subsidiary of United Grain Company JSC) implementing the investment project on construction of a grain terminal at seaport Zarubino has signed an agreement with the Administration of the Khasan District and Zarubino settlement. According to the press center of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the document has been signed today, 5 September 2017.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a Decree (No 1840-р) to approve the expansion of Zarubino seaport.
The project implies the construction of a terminal for transshipment of grain (wheat, corn and soya) capable of handling 33.5 mln t per year by 2030. The terminal will comprise five berths, a storage yard, railway and road-transport facilities, conveyors. It is intended for accommodating and handling vessels of up to 91,300 t in capacity. The terminal is to be built north-east of the port boundary along the Troitsa Bay coast. Land reclamation is foreseen under the project.
