Ships of RF Navy's Pacific Fleet conducted anti-ship missile firing at sea
While the sortie, the crews of the fast destroyer and rocket strike group, consisting of R-11 and R-18 missile boats, have fulfilled the purpose of missile strikes on sea targets simulating hypothetical enemy ships, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Crews have completed a missile firing with the use of the main strike weapons – Moskit supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles.
Cruise missiles launched from ships successfully hit the designated targets at a maximum distance.
The area of the missile firings was closed to civilian shipping in order to ensure the safety of navigation. More than 20 ships, military boats and support vessels of the Pacific Fleet were involved.
