Preparations for the international conference "Advanced Port Fleet- the basis of safety" are underway. The event will be held on 18 September 2017 in Saint-Petersburg.
The Conference is organized by Media Group PortNews in partnership with Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS). General Sponsor - Damen. Sponsor - Baltic Sea Tug Agency LLC (BSTA).
The Conference is meant to be a practical platform for discussions between shipbuilders, customers and contractors related to the fleet of icebreakers, tugboats and vessels providing bunkering and environmental services.
The leading icebreaker fleet operators, foreign and Russian shipbuilders, designers, shipping companies, auxiliary fleet operators are invited to participate in the conference. Over 170 participants are expected.

The Tugboat Show, organized by DAMEN Group, the Sponsor General of the conference, is to be held on the Conference day in the Neva River water area.
Baltic Sea Tug Agency offers round-the-year services on deep-sea and port-to-port towing, rescue operations, delivery of pilots to/from vessels, support of diving operations and underwater engineering works. In summer period, the company’s fleet can be involved in hydrographic activities, comprehensive servicing of dredgers including security services. In winter, BSTA ships can be deployed for ice cutting along the berths and for ice escorts. BSTA fleets consists of ice-class azimuth tugboats of 3,600 to 5,200 h.p. as well as small tugs and engineering ships to support underwater and hydraulic engineering, dredging and hydrographical operations. BSTA operates at key ports in the Gulf of Finland with its base at the commercial sea port of Ust-Luga.
