Port of Singapore throughput up 7% to 99.15 mln t in Jan-Feb'17
Cargo volumes handled at the Port of Singapore in January-February 2017 rose 7%, year-on-year, to 90.15 million tonnes, the Port Authority statistics showed.
The volume of oil cargo leaped by 20.5% to 40.23 million tonnes, while non-oil bulk cargo – by 6% to 2.9 million tonnes.
Singapore is the city-state located on an island in Southeast Asia. In 2016, container traffic at Port of Singapore reached 30.9 TEUs, total cargo throughput was 593.3 million tonnes.
