Throughput of port Kaliningrad in Jan-Feb'17 is flat Y-o-Y at 2.1 mln t
In January-February 2017, the port of Kaliningrad handled 2,011,600 t of cargo, which is flat, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew 3-fold to 506,400 t including 108,200 t of coal (+7%). Transshipment of mineral fertilizers showed a decrease.
Transshipment of dry loose cargo declined by 5% to 516,100 t, transshipment of general cargo fell by 38% to 183,800 t.
The port’s container throughput dropped by 9.7% to 29,860 TEUs.
Transshipment of cargoes carried by ferries totaled 219,100 t (-35%), liquid bulk cargo - 447,600 t (-12%) including 228,500 t of oil products (-16%), 123,100 t of crude oil (-14%) and 84,900 t of food cargo (-1%).
