Cargo traffic via Nika-Tera terminal (Ukraine) in January 2017 up 2-fold Y-o-Y to 330,500 t
In January 2017, Nika-Tera terminal (Ostchem Holding, Ukraine) transshipped 330,500 t of cargo, twice as much as in the same period of the previous year, says the stevedoring company.
In the reporting period, grain accounted for 61.53% (203,400), mineral fertilizers – 8.74% (28,900), dry bulk cargo – 29.73% (98,300).
Transshipment of transit cargo climbed by 221% to 35,000 t, export cargo – up by 90% to 295,500 t. In the first month of 2017 the terminal handled 19 dry cargo ships.
Specialized Seaport Nika-Tera LLC was established in 1995. The terminal is located on the left shore of the Bugsko-Dneprovsky estuary, some 34 miles from the sea. Bugsko-Dneprovsky canal linking the port with sea provides round-the-year navigation 24 hours a day for vessels with draught of up to 10.3 meters.
