Dredging at Ukrainian seaports exceeded 4.4 mln cbm from year beginning
The scope of dredging at the seaports of Ukraine performed from the beginning of the year exceeded 4.4 mln cbm, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).
Dredging works have been completed at the inner harbor and at the access canal to Mariupol port’s Coal Harbour (1.3 mln cbm of dredged material); at the access canal and in the water area of Berdyansk seaport (1.2 mln cbm).
From the beginning of the year, 290,000 cbm of material has been dredged at Deep Water Fairway (DWF) Danube – Black Sea and 285,000 cbm of material - at the Bugsko-Dneprovskiy Lymansky Channel (BDLC).
Maintenance dredging at the water area of Odessa seaport totaled 73,000 cbm.
Dredging works at Dnestrovsko-Limansky Channel of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky seaport amounted to 900,000 cbm.
Besides, maintenance dredging has been completed at Yuzhny seaport (367,000 cbm).
In late December the works on operational dredging by dredging convoy Rion were started in the water area of specialized seaport Oktyabrsk.
