Throughput of port Helsinki (Finland) up 2.2% to 10.7 mln t mln t in 11M’16
In January-November 2016, the Port of Helsinki (Finland) handled 10.7 mln t mln t of cargo (+2.2%, year-on-year), the port authority says.
Transshipment of general cargo climbed by 1.7% to 9.77 mln t including 4.64 mln t of imports (+3.9%) and 5.13mln t of exports (-0.1%).
According to the statement, the port’s passenger throughput grew by 3% to 10.63 mln passengers.
The Port of Helsinki is one of the largest ports in Finland, the largest passenger port and the third largest in the Baltic Sea. The Port of Helsinki accounts for 77% of Finland's passenger traffic. In 2015, the port handled 11.4 mln t of cargo (+5.3%, year-on-year).
