Flag-raising ceremony held at RF Navy’s self-propelled floating crane SPK-44150 in Vladivostok (photo)
Flag of RF Navy’s auxiliary vessel has been raised on the new self-propelled floating crane SPK-44150 of Project 02690, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The ceremony held at Berth 33 of RF Pacific Fleet’s main base in Vladivostok was attended by representatives of the Pacific Fleet Commandment, public and religious organizations.
The new self-propelled floating crane will join the Pacific Fleet of RF Navy. The crew of SPK-44150 is now completing the procedures on joining the forces of operational readiness following which the floating crane will be deployed as intended.
The third vessel of Project 02690 which joined the Pacific fleet over the last two years offers a wide range of functions related to different cargo lifting operations.
SPK-44150 was built by Almaz OJSC (Saint-Petersburg).
The 02690 mobile crane design was developed at JSC SpetsSudoProekt for offshore heavy-lift operations, for loading of hazardous and general cargoes onto surface warships, submarines, for handling anchors chains of pontoon piers, for installation and removal of offshore equipment, transportation of cargo on the upper deck
General characteristics:
Full load displacement - 2 tonnes, length - 50 m, breadth - 22 m, cruising range - 3.500 miles, endurance - 10 days, lifting capacity - 35 to 150 tonnes, crew – 22.
The first two cranes of the new generation service Borei class submarines in the Kamchatka region.
