Rostov Universal Port signs contracts for transshipment of 1 mln t of coal and 500,000 t of petcoke in 2017 (photo)
Rostov Universal Port (RUP LLC, Azov-Don Shipping Company) has signed contracts for transshipment of 1 mln t of coal and 500,000 t of petcoke in 2017, RUP Director General Peotr Aseyev told IAA PortNews.
He explained the Rostov Universal Port works with the following coal operators: MIR TRADE AG, EcoCoalLimited, AksuLogistics GMBH, MartiallaHoldingsLtd. “In the framework coal terminal development the contracts have been signed for transshipment of 1 mln t of coal and 500,000 t of petcoke in 2017”, said Peotr Aseyev.
The coal terminal of Rostov Universal Port has the capacity of 1.5 mln t with maximum storage of 120,000 t. The stevedoring company offers a full range of services on loading/unloading of coal. The standard rate of loading is 6,000 t per day. The port handles different grades of coal.
The port’s transport infrastructure allows for handling about 3,000 railcars per month which guarantees handling of large batches of cargo within a short period of time. Loading/unloading operations are performed by over 30 units of equipment including 14 portal cranes, 10 to 65 tonnes in capacity.
