Ninety-seven Crowley vessels win awards for environmental safety
Ninety-seven vessels owned or operated by Crowley Maritime Corp. have been recognized by the Chamber of Shipping of America (CSA) with Certificates of Environmental Achievement. The association’s awards honor companies for operating vessels without any environmental incidents, displaying a commitment to respecting and protecting the environment on oceans and inland waterways.
The 97 vessels represent a combined sum of 992 years of service without an environmental incident, such as reportable spills or port citations, with 43 of them having served at least 10 years without an incident – a credit to Crowley’s longtime commitment to safety and high performance.
The awards are open to all owners and operators of vessels that operate on oceans and inland waterways.
