Cargo traffic within Azov-Don Basin of Russia’s IWW climbed by 16.3% to 9.74 mln t
As of November 11, 2016, cargo traffic within the Azov-Don Basin of Russia’s inland water ways climbed by 16.3% to 9.74 mln t, says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot). The number of calls totaled 5,595.
According to the statement, the growth should be attributed to more favorable hydrological conditions as compared with the year of 2015.
Throughout the navigation period of 2016 the release of water from the Tsymlyansky water storage basin was set at lower level.
The minimum depth below the Kochetovsky waterworks is forecasted at 370 cm from November 20 till December 1.
