Pilots of the Pacific Fleet practiced landing on the aircraft carrier’s deck at nighttime
Ka-27 crews of the Pacific Fleet naval aviation conducted training flights taking off and landing on the deck of the Admiral Panteleyev major submarine warfare ship, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
All pilots conducted more than 30 landings on the deck at day- and nighttime.
Moreover, the flight crews practiced searching and tracking submarines of the simulated enemy, flew over the ship in order to check operability of the radio technical armament, air defence complexes and communication systems.
Landing on the ship deck is one of the most complicated types of flight training.
Special attention was paid to night flights.
